Wernick Group launches its first Christmas advert

Wernick Group has just released a bespoke Christmas advertisement, ‘tailored to promoting the company’s proud history’ that stretches back to 1934, with a strong seasonal feel.

The ‘creative advert’ was released at 9.00 am on 4 December 2023, and will be promoted across the company's social channels. The company said: “For nearly nine decades, Wernick Group has been at the forefront of creating spaces that resonate with the warmth and joy of Christmas. The narrative showcases the Wernick factory delivering its final modules, and preparing to close its doors for the Christmas break. Lucas Tasan, one of Wernick’s devoted factory operatives navigates the final days of the year, all while keeping a mysterious secret.”

Leigh Fennell, Marketing manager at Wernick Group commented: “The proposal of a Christmas advertisement was something totally different for us as a marketing department, and a departure from traditional festive marketing materials. The team not only produced a prospect that demonstrated innovation, but also constructed a narrative that ensured inclusion of our employees within the depot. The advertisement is a tribute to the talent, dedication, and unity that defines our workplace, and reinforces its reputation as a desirable place to work.”

Wernick says it takes pride in ‘recognising and executing the internal talent of its employees’. The entirety of the filming process for the advertisement was therefore accomplished ‘in house’ at Wernick’s largest factory in Kenfig, South Wales, harnessing the skills of its own staff. The company said: “From concept development to filming, editing, and post-production, every aspect of the project serves as a testament to the wealth of talent that contributes to Wernick’s overall success.”

The main character in the advertisement was played by Morgan Thorpe, Production operative at the Kenfig factory. He said: “Being a part of the Christmas ad and taking on the role of Santa was an absolute pleasure. I was delighted to forego any personal reward, and advocate for the funds to be directed towards the Teenage Cancer Trust, and Wernick happily made a donation.”

‘Accommodating Christmas since 1934’, Wernick’s first-ever Christmas advertisement, can be viewed via Wernick’s LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook platforms, and on Wernick’s website.
